Lisa then decided to pursue her interest in medicine, attending Minnesota State University of Moorhead to fulfill her pre-medicine course work. Lisa attended Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where she completed her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. While on campus Lisa participated in student counsel, was a member of the Medical Challenge Bowl team, and volunteered time with on-campus charities and fund raisers.

Lisa’s Masters work included a clinical emphasis in surgery. While participating in clinical rotations, Lisa spent time in the Burn Unit at Maricopa County Hospital, as well as a 3 month rotation in Neurosurgery at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn.

Lisa and her husband Ryan both come from North Dakota. They have been in the valley 4 years now; they are active members of their church, love the sunshine and being outdoors.

Lisa received her Bachelors degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in advertising and public relations from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. After graduation Lisa worked on-air as a DJ for Clear Channel, as part of a morning talk show in her home town of Fargo, ND.
