Maricella Ramirez M.A., Registered Medical Assistant/Diagnostic Coordinator
Maricella is responsible for assisting in the clinic with patient histories, dressings, splints, medication refills, preoperative education and coordination of surgical arrangements. She is also involved in disability forms and scheduling tests such as nerve conductions and MRI's to provide Dr. Burgess with additional information to make an accurate diagnosis. Maricella is fluent in Spanish.

Nikki Ramirez, CPC, A/R & Billing Specialist & Surgery - billing@deserthandcenter.com
Nikki is responsible for coordinating all aspects of your surgery. She will work with you to arrange surgical dates, times, and locations. Nikki will also work with your insurance carrier regarding prior authorizations and insurance deductibles. Nikki wll also server as your account representative and is available to assist you with any aspects of your billing.

Desert Orthopedic Hand Center is pleased to have Candace as a recent addition to Dr. Burgess' team. Candace comes with over 20 years experience in the management of orthopedic practices and she holds a masters degree in Business Administration & Health Care Management. She has personal experience in front office, billing, and practice management. Candace ensures the smooth day to day operations at Desert Orthopedic Hand Center.

Ancillary Staff
You will interact with a number of other staff members during your visit with Dr. Burgess including appointment schedulers and x-ray technicians. All are dedicated to providing you polite and courteous service throughout your appointment experience.
